SHORTHAND

TEELINE SHORTHAND

This is a skill for young adults going on to further education or uni.  It is also essential for those wishing to pursue a career in Journalism.

Teeline is a form of shorthand based on the normal alphabet and is phonetically based. Students are able to reach 60 – 80 wpm in a short 30 hour course.

We have a variety of courses offered both in person and online.  All of our classes are small, either one-to-one or in groups with a max of four pupils.

These skills are transformative and are used on a daily basis.  The benefits of these skills are experienced on a daily basis.  They allow the child to pursue further learning without being held back by “how to type or handwrite well at an early age”.

We have over 30 years of experience and our tutors feel passionate that the child not only enjoys learning but enjoys using his/her newly learnt skill.

The ability to touch-type for a child in school, further education or Uni is invaluable.  It saves time, produces presentable and accurate work and most importantly allows him/her to concentrate on what his is typing rather than how to type it or the presentation.

Every child learns differently and we have over 30 years of teaching experience to know what is the best for the child.  From the speed of learning, when to encourage and praise, how to segment the learning process into achievable goals for that individual.  Once a child feels positive and confident they want to push themselves.

For students going onto further education or Uni shorthand is an invaluable skill to have in lectures.

All our courses are taught with instruction from highly experienced tutors in small groups following our own tried and tested programmes and specialist programmes when appropriate.

All our classes are small with a maximum number of four students or one-to-one.
